As a high-sensitivity detection instrument, the needle detector has very high demand over the working environment and maintenance. After its use for a time, it would get something “wrong”. Therefore it is necessary to clean belt and other easy-dirtying areas.
1. Cleaning tool: a clean towel is fine. Dip it into water and wring it out.
2. Clean the belt’s surface: before cleaning, adjust sensitivity to the lowest position. Our company’s equipment has 10 sensitivity positions. So it should be set to position 1. High sensitivity will affect the cleaning. Pull the towel straight and press on the belt’s surface. Start the equipment and keep it running for 5 circles. (the purpose is to clear the dirt on the belt’s surface. Other methods are also adoptable) Then clean the towel and repeat this step until the belt is clean.
3. Cleaning of belt’s back: dismantle the metal cover of one side of the belt, then put the towel through the belt and grasp the towel. Start the equipment to run several circles for the cleaning. Since the belt’s bottom is the dirtiest area, it needs cleaning repeatedly. The towel needs to be cleaned to repeat the step.
After the cleaning, if the probe lamp flashes and the tested subjects can’t pass, we need to repeat the cleaning as above. After the cleaning, the environment’s passive factors should be avoided, e.g. people walking around, heavy or big machines are located around.
